Created in 1991 on the initiative of the painter Gérard Garouste, La Source is an association of general interest with a social and educational vocation through artistic expression, for children and young people in difficulty, as well as their families. It was born from the conviction that artistic creation can support social action, in order to fight against exclusion in all its forms. Now established in ten departments, mainly in rural and, more recently, urban areas, the association believes that art is a fundamental actor in the construction of society and contributes to the development of the individual from a very young age.
